A friend from abroad while chatting asked, where do they get the confidence from? I asked, who? He replied, your neighbor Pakistan and went on to mention Shahbaz Sharif’s address at the UN and the Pakistanis making proclamations of defeating India and winning the Asia Cup? I responded by saying, It’s in their trait.
Recently at the 80th UN General Assembly Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s address was a long rant with a fake narrative. He went on to say – When in May this year, my country confronted unprovoked aggression from our eastern front, the enemy came shrouded in arrogance. We sent them back in humiliation, delivering a bloody nose. India sought to extract political gains from a human tragedy by spurning my sincere offer of an independent international investigation into Pahalgam incident.
He went on to say – We won the war. The world knowns what happened with 12 of their airbases damaged badly with the Nur Khan airbase in the news as American assets were also hit when India attacked this airbase causing major damage. And the severe damage caused to terrorist camps in the border areas, POK and interior
India strongly rebuked Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s address at the 80th UN General Assembly, describing his remarks as “absurd theatrics” and accusing him of glorifying terrorism. India, exercising the right of reply, asserted that terrorism is “central to Pakistan’s foreign policy." India referenced Pakistan’s long-standing use of cross-border terrorism and dismissed Sharif’s claims that Pakistan’s military repelled an Indian attack, countering with evidence that Pakistani forces pleaded for a ceasefire after significant damage. India reiterated that no amount of drama or misinformation by Pakistan could hide its support for terrorist groups or change the facts on the ground.
During the Asia Cup 2025 though beaten twice by India, Pakistan was shouting all over, Pakistan will beat India and take the Asia Cup. And lost badly again! One can understand the empty rant by crazy fans but some their ex-cricketers talk nonsense thereby exposing their attitude and mindset. They simply can’t accept Indian beating them.
Most Pakistanis, illiterate and educated Pakistanis still believe Pakistan was always attacked by India in the cover of darkness like cowards. They believe Pakistan won all the wars with India, in 1965, 1971 and Kargil war. When told about 93,000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered to the Indian army at Bangladesh in 1971, they say its Indian propaganda. They claim Pakistan’s ISI and army is number 1 in the world.
In a roadside talk with an anchor, a couple of Pakistanis were boasting about being the best and strong country, and teaching India a lesson in every war. An elderly gentleman who was quietly listening to their boasts, intervened, I have been to India and have my relatives there. He blasted the men who were boasting. He said, India is not hundred but two hundred years ahead of us. See their infrastructure, transport, buildings, policies, healthcare, education, prices of commodities etc., you will be shocked how we Pakistanis are fooled by our leaders, politicians and media. There was silence all round. With social media people are seeing the truth.
And the best joke. They proudly state, Pakistan is respected by the world. The world leaders consult the Pakistani leaders. Pakistan is a rich country with everything available there. When pointed out about high rates, high prices and shortages of food, medicine and other items, they act ignorant.
This confidence comes from the top - from politicians, leaders, army and goes to people, the illiterate, madrassa educated and others. The womenfolk, mostly illiterate and even the educated are a different kind. They feel Pakistan is a rich country and the world is jealous of Pakistan and they don’t want it to rise because Pakistan will be a threat to others in every field. All the developed countries have stolen technology and copied from their books to grow. When asked, if other countries have copied from your books and grown, why is Pakistan languishing. They have no answer and quietly admit, their leaders and politicians are corrupt.
Campaigns of get out Pakistanis in Turkey, Japan, Greece and many countries tell the story of their mindset and behavior abroad. Even countries like UAE and others have made it tough for them to get visas.
Though the country strives on loans and aid from China, Saudi and other countries and funds from IMF to keep the economy alive over the years, people are wondering where do they get the confidence to make proclamations and spread false narrative around the world.

Earlier God was a white man, and now God is an Asian, specifically Indian and Chinese! The West can't see India rising to become the fourth largest economy, soon to be the third largest economy in the world. They are not happy with India’s independent thinking, policies, foreign affairs, and actions. They can't see Indian- and Russian-made aircraft and weaponry outdoing the West.
They were taken aback and surprised by the precision bombing and missile hits by India’s homemade weapons. They are not happy that India entered the weapons market, offering an alternative to countries with competitive prices. They are even envious of the rapid development of made-in-India products. It all boils down to commercial interests of individuals and countries.
They don't want India to be independent and succeed in economy, growth, and weaponry like China. They are upset that India is not willing to toe the West line in dealing with countries. Hence, most Western countries downplay and openly don't accept India's success in the many wars with Pakistan and recent Operation Sindoor. They intentionally report negatively about India. Though some Western defense experts have spoken openly, giving credit to the strategic policies, implementation, and an outright victory for India.
What hurt America most is unknowingly India hit American assets in Nur Khan base while attacking Pakistan, Reports coming in say, India caused massive damage. This made Americans to force Pakistan to insist on a cease fire with India. Americans got the taste of Indian technology and weaponry.
Today India responds back in kind, be it bad reports, statements made by leaders or politicians, or even bad policies aimed at India. Though most of these countries have good relationships with India, they wouldn't like to see a growing and strong India. The West thrives on countries dependent on the West. India has broken the myth that the white man is superior. Indians occupy top, senior, and sensitive positions in governments and corporations worldwide. They are aware there is no way to stop India’s growth but can create impediments to slow down the march.
Geopolitics is a funny game. The US wants India to keep a check on China and needs Pakistan to slow down India's growth. Similarly, China needs Pakistan to slow down India’s growth. Some of the Western countries are envious of India's growth and development. Though the West is aware of Pakistan being a terrorist hub sheltering UN-designated terrorists, it is still soft on Pakistan, as America can get bases to keep an eye on and launch operations if required on Iran, Afghanistan, and Russia. And Russia needs India, and China avoids direct confrontation with India, as India is a large market for its products, and any direct conflict with India will slow down its economy and be disastrous for both.
